Hi there-
I have definitely encountered your symptoms when using E-MU 1820M and
1616M sound cards (my regular performance setup includes in 1616M) -
though not as frequently as you describe. One additional piece of info
about your system that might be helpful: are you running a
multiprocessor and/or hyperthreading ON?
I will take a look at this area again (there are several hacks to our
windows audio interface for E-MU cards) - it also might be worth trying
out a new build from the source code if you can do that.
Meantime, let's keep in touch on this.
