[Osw-users] Boo!

i had to rebuild the rpm from the source rpm and now osw starts. it 
seems that the rpm from osw.sf.net does not work with redhat 9.

after my system froze imediately when clicking the speaker symbol i 
tried i compiled it with --enable-jack. i suspect this is not officially 
supported as i couldn't get any sound out of it, only got this "Boo!" 
messages on the terminal, although it connects to jackd and the osw 
ports are available.

then i tried again with alsa. it crashes when running as root, but works 
when running as a normal user. latency is not very low, but much better 
than on my windows install. i guess around 100ms in comparision to 1-2 
seconds on my windows (it's on the same machine!).



when will the asio drivers for windows be available?
