Sorry, I don't have much of an idea what could be going on. i do always run pulseaudio as a system daemon, since i need to play remote streams when no one is logged in, and because otherwise nasd doesn't come up properly. but i presume that should make no difference (as long as only one daemon is running). in any case, thanks for the confirmation as to how it should work. that gives me more confidence towards looking for my misconfig. :-) paul =---------------------- paul fox, pg...@fo...
