Good day! Sorry to bother you again, but I am really desperate! I restarted my entire ossim build, did exactly what the documents said at trac.osgeo.org/ossim, but the same issues remain: 1. When I try to run the sample applications eg ossim/src/apps/ossim-info$./ossim-info -I ~/Desktop/Image1.tif I get an error: ./ossim-info: error while loading shared libraries: libossim.so.1:cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory 2. Thank you Dave for your suggestion to use the build scripts that is provided with the source code, they work beautifully with the builds! I must admit that they are a lot easier than what I've tried in the past. And yet, the same thing comes up: I copied the ossim-info.cpp file to Desktop/Workspace. In that directory I also included my normal build script, as well as the one you suggested. (Note that I completely removed ALL linking activities with ossim from my own build script, and now only depend on yours, which works 100%). When I run that file Desktop/Workspace$./ossim-info -i ./Image1.tif I get a segmentation fault. Something that is interesting to me is the fact that when I run the application in my Workspace folder, it does not give the shared libraries error.. Now I know that the libraries are linked correctly since there were no build-time link errors. Do you have any idea what I am missing? Thank you for your time and efforts! Francois PS: Will someone be so kind as to provide me with the commands needed to build the ossim libraries with build_type set to debug? I have tried the various suggestions from Garret, but I must admit that I have still not managed to get it done. I did the svn checkout: svn co http://svn.osgeo.org/ossim/trunk src, so I have that exact directory structure. |
