Hello,

I think that this problem was solved a long time ago (mdk 8.2). We just
comment the redefinition of the root $PATH in /root/.bashrc (redefine in
Mandrake for "security reason").

For instance :

#OSCAR: The following line commented out
# PATH=/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin

That way, we can use the same mechanism as the other distro
add some stanza to the /root/bashrc and all is OK now.
