The one feature we are missing from OSC is the ability to have a tithe or member dues associated to a person/family.
I have a few thoughts on this, and I thought I would post them here for feedback from the community.
Currently giving is associated with a person. So I'm assuming tithing would also be associated with a person.
A tithe will also have to be associated with a period of time. Should tithing be associated with a year or a range of time?
Many of the community are using OSC to do membership management. In this case a tithe is called "dues". In this case should we allow unpaid dues to be carried over into the next period?
Looking forward to the input from the community.

Steve,
In my organization (a Scout group), I would use OSC to track complete families of which a subset of family members (typically the children) being active members.
With membership dues linked to a person, the invoicing and payments would be linked at the family level, with the invoice going to parents or caregivers and not to the children. Also, we typically apply family level discounts with more than one child being a member, so even with membership dues on the person level, there is still a need to combine them and adjust/check on the family level.
Also membership dues go by calendar year in my organization and members joining later in the year get a pro-rata calculation of those dues (plus any family discounts that apply). To keep things simple and general, I think that the pro-rata calculation can be a manually calculated value as long as the system would allow for manual edit of the dues amount.
In terms of un-paid dues, I think these should carry over to the next period.
Cheers,
Marco

I have created an RFE for this module and attached a requirements document to the RFE.
Please review the doc and provide feedback. I would like to start development on this within the next two weeks.
