#1 AD/LDAP Integration

A long term goal for this project is to provide Active Directory or OpenLDAP integration, be it as an option in the configuration, or more likely a separate release (or even a separate project!).

I would imagine a separate release would be the best option, as it would mean the MySQL database would only be needed to store the user login details, and depending on the level of integration, it might be possible to do away with the MySQL DB altogether, and make it simply an attractive way to keep an active directory or OpenLDAP server up to date, using all the existing data and permissions already available.

Any ideas on this are welcome!
