#18 Unablt to connect to DB

Hi Team,

Could you please share a document for using the Orbada software for conencting to the oracle exadata DB server from local machine connected to the servers using VPN.

While tring we got errors and it is not connecting to the DB.

Could you specify what error message you get?

in theory, it does not matter whether you have a connection: VPN, GSM, modem, encrypted or not if the server is accessible through ping command on properly port and database.

Thanks for the reply Andrzej, Issue is fixed affer turn off the proxy.

how to increase the size could see app stucks if i select record count for some 700000+ records.

Hi Fayasdeen,

1. look at orbada.bat file and parameters -Xms64M -Xmx200M, first is minimal memory size, second is max memory size for java, change it to 500MB
2. limit gettet records by limit clause or driver. Orbada handles even more 1000000000 records if driver for database handles this. I don't now what database You are using.
   If PostgreSQL or Firebird add usedb.statement-max-rows=50000 into UseDB parameters tab on schema/connection definition. This limit max records on driver level for all sql queries
