Tried to add http://plus.google.com/\ and http://\.plus.google.com/* to filters, doesn't work.

    Google plus uses https (exclusively, I think) so try filtering https://plus.google.com/\*
    If you want to filter both http:// and https:// you can use http*://

    Not too obvious. Maybe easy checkboxes: "filter Google [news | images | plus| maps] from google search" ?

    Ok, converted this to a feature request for more clear filtering options.
    Using a * as a wildcard character is quite common among computer-people but perhaps is not clear to others. I can change the examples and wording to explain it a bit better.
    I don't want to make it checkboxes because that limits the flexibility a lot.
