The attached patch changes the configure.in to look for an oprofile version name that has "git" in the name versus "cvs".  If so found, we assume that the source tree being built is a git pull vs an official release, so we add -Werror to C[XX]FLAGS so the build will error-out for any compile warning.

The change is trivial, so I've committed and pushed it already.
