Thanks a lot to Padma, William and Ray for answering my questions.. Thanks Padma for the phone call.. But my peeves are not over yet.. I had to move on to FC5 P4 machine as my P6 had system issues. I have a xen0 and xenu(FC5 again) setup. Problem: After I untar the xen-unstable-src.tar, I was told to do a "make menuconfig" I do not have linux-2.6.X.x-xen directory to enable "Instrumentation layer support". I did have in my previous setup not sure how.. Now I cannot invoke "make menuconfig"... How do I get linux-2.6.X.X-xen in xen-unstable/ directory? Any help is greatly appreciated. I have setup Xen0 and Xenu in FC5 system in P6 processor. I am looking to see how I can run xenoprof in Xen. I want to lay my hands on oprofile sources and see how the VMM layer is implemented for Xen in oprofile. I tried the cvs repository for xenoprof but get booted out on connections with anonymous user in cvs . I am looking to understand the performance event interface that XEN VMM provides for oprofile..
