OPI2 has published with the Open PI EDIX Conversion Module for PI 7.1X its fourth subproject. The module offers a bidirectional conversion for multiple EDI formats like EDIFACT, ANSI X12 and TRADACOMS.

The Open PI Initiative is very happy to welcome Christoph Spierling as a new active contributor. Christoph is currently finalizing the PI 7.1X migration of the OPI2 adapter for AS2.
Thanks to the great support of our new contributors the migration of the OPI2 adapter for AS2 is now under way and is expected to be available by end of this year.
Right before Christmas the final beta version of the Open PI Adapter for EDIFACT has been released for PI 7.1X. Official release 1.0 (planned for Q1/2010) will mainly cover minor adjustments in the documentation.
As the first subproject, the OPI2 Conversion Module for EDIFACT has finally been released for PI 7.1! For PI 7.0 the updated version contains some minor bug fixes.
Due to significant changes and bugs in the underlying SAP J2EE Engine 7.1 and parallel implementation projects, the migration to PI 7.1 is still in its final stage. The majority of tests have been completed successfully, so that we finally plan to publish the OPI2 Conversion Module for EDIFACT by end of October. The Open PI Initiative is currently working on the migration of its adapters and conversion modules to the new SAP NetWeaver PI release 7.1. First subproject to be released will be the OPI2 Conversion Module for EDIFACT in February / March 2009.

OPI2 has published release 1.1 of the Open PI Adapter for AS2. The new release comprises a cleanup of some internal classes and a correction of the message format of the MDN response message.
With the Open PI Adapter for AS2 OPI2 has released its third subproject. The adapter offers secure internet-based communication via the AS2 protocol including encryption and digital certificates.

The Open PI Initiative has published the Open PI EDIFACT Adapter. The full-blown PI adapter offers EDIFACT conversion as well as transport via AS2 protocol including encryption and https support. The solution bases on the XI Adapter Framework and is fully integrated into the PI Integration Directory and PI Runtime Workbench. (see project web site for further information)

On February 20th cbs presented the Open PI Initiative and the Open PI Conversion Module for EDIFACT at the DSAG Technology Days in Dresden (Germany).

On February 1st 2008 cbs Corporate Business Solutions GmbH founded the Open PI Initiative (OPI2).
The Open PI Initiative (OPI2) wants to offer reusable adapters, tools, libraries and functional add-ons for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration.
