OpenVXI uses SourceForge for its development site (http://sourceforge.net/projects/openvxi/). If you go to that link there is a link to CVS which will explain how one can do an anonymous cvs checkout of the latest code (this should be the same for any project on SourceForge). Basically I believe the commands are: cvs -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/openvxi login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/openvxi co openvxi_3 Again SourceForge gives full documentation on how to access the CVS repositories for projects hosted on that website. This assumes you already have a CVS client installed on your machine. The latest build instructions are always included with the source in the doc directory, you should always use the latest instructions in case they change between releases (there have been changes between the Beta release and the current code). When you have built the entire product the bin directory will contain a program called RunVXI.exe. If you type it with no arguments it will give you a synopsis of how it is run. That should get you started until we document it further. There is no integration to a microphone or speaker, don't expect that. This is just a simple simulator that can be used to understand OpenVXI. > -----Original Message----- > From: Vibhor Jain [mailto:vj...@cs...] > Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 2004 12:00 PM > To: openvxi > Subject: Fwd: RE: [Openvxi-discuss] How to Run OpenVXI 3.0 > > > >If you get the latest code from the CVS repository you will > find that we have > >included a command line test app with limited functionality > that simulates an > >integration > > > I downloaded OpenVXI 3.0 from > http://fife.speech.cs.cmu.edu/openvxi/download.html > file: "OSB-PIK-OpenVXI-3.0.0.tar.gz" > > > 1) you mean I should again download openVXI 3.0 from CVS ? > what is the link ?
