Where I work we use redhat, and I often find myself using a version of gcc 2.95 that has been seperately compiled and installed. RH's "2.96" is not a real gcc release, and therefore has problems which will probably not really be fixed anytime soon. If you can get gcc 3.2, though. i would recommend trying that -- if the openvrml release will work with it. (I haven't tried the release with 3.2, and i haven't tried the CVS recently either) |
