Lofi, =20 I cannot tell you what you have to do, but I can tell you what we did. =20 - Since EJB 2.1 has some great features, we moved to CMP 2.x years ago. = Most features are running well, but some are buggy: e. g. Persistent = Timers are only preliminary code, You cannot create related objects = inside of ejbCreate, also some EJBQL things not working well, JOnAS = mixes up datasources and so on... So you will get a lot of features, but = also some ugly bugs. =20 - We told our customers that there will be a solution to the readonly = problem soon. So actually now all our beta customers are waiting to get = their systems back running, and all our 'normal' customers just waiting = for the final release, which we have cancelled for unknown time. We = expect a solution before december, but it's up to JOnAS team if this = will happen finally. =20 So you need to decide on your own. Moving to EJB 2.1 is some work, = indeed, but brings nice features plus some bugs you need to work around. = Keeping with EJB 1.x is no work, but you need to restart every few = hours. =20 My tip would be: Try JOnAS 4.6. Maybe it works, even with EJB 1.x. =20 =20 =20 Mit freundlichem Gruss / With kind regards Markus KARG, Staatl. gepr. Inf. Betreff: [jonas] Error in JOnAS <Philippe> In the case you woulkd use the new lock-policy CRW, available only in 4.6, the restriction are: - the shared flag must be set to false. - the entity bean must be CMP 2.x </Philippe> reading the answer of Philippe above, it seems we cannot use this lock-policy CRW in EB CMP 1.x... :-( Hmm... so my options now are: - Changing all EBs CMP 1.x into 2.x which will be a *huge* rework we cannot afford. - Restart every 2-3 hours which will "kill" openuss from the user's perspective. - Reinstall openuss 1.4 with JOnAS 3.x which did not have this problem. Very difficult situation... Any ideas?
