#101 Wrong file donwload using android/iphone browser

Hi,
We are using the last version of OpenUpload. While accessing through Android or Iphone browser we are unable to download the files. All retrieved files have the correct name and extension but inside is always the same html of the download page!

Could it be a compatibility issue with mobile browsers?

Haven't tried it with mobile, but that's pretty odd.
I suppose that by the last version you intend the one in svn.

I'll give it a try and report back as soon as I have some spare time.

Hi Alessandro,

It's weird but after one of our employers report the problem I have tested on my personal phone with both native android web browser and also with dolphin browser and the same problem on both!

We are able to download a file with the exact same name as the original but for example if you send a pdf file you are unable to open it with a pdf viewer... now if you try to open it with an text editor you can see that the pdf file is in fact the html code of the download page.

I've done some tests and it seems a problem when some sort of protection is set on the download (captcha or password)
But still I'm not able to understand why.

Hi Alessandro,
We are always setting a password so that may be the cause? If we remove password protection the problem doesn't occur?

Hi Alessandro,

I have found the solution for this problem.
So basically, we are using xampp as our webserver. Inside php.ini there is an option 'output_buffering' that in my case was set to 'Off'.
After I change it to 'On' the problem was solved!
