#29 Tracker crashes beyong recovery

When I run tracker my system crashes beyond recovery.
It does not respond to any kind of input the only way
out is a hard reset.

I wish I could tell you more but I can't cause I am not
able to get any data from the crash.

I've tried compiling the 5.1.7 source files with
BIG_TRACKER=TRUE but no change

So I am not the only one suffering.
Firts Deskbar menu freezes, then you still can open windows and
click stuff, but your text input from keyboard is a goner. later no
keyboard input and NOTHING can be clicked. Then you're left with
Good Ol'Mr Reset Switch

Are you sure? Do you have a ~2 MB Tracker after this in /system?
If that's still happening for you, the 5.1.3 Tracker (or any other
Tracker) shouldn't run on your system, too...
Does the http://opentracker.sourceforge.net/downloads/Tracker-2.zip
work for you?

To me it seems something related to the
AppServer/InputServer.
Have you guys tried to reinstall these from the BeOS CD? Or,
if all fails, reinstall the entire BeOS?
