Hello everyone, I am having a problem with the evolution2 plugin: it cannot sync anything. When I configure it, I can perfectly choose between my calendars, addresslists and todolists I would like to use during sync, but when I try to sync it (with irmc-plugin for example, my mobile phone, SE k750i), I get the following output when started from console: Member 1 of type evo2-sync had an error while connecting: Unable to open anything Member 2 of type irmc-sync just connected Member 2 of type irmc-sync just disconnected All clients have disconnected The sync failed: Unable to connect one of the members Can anyone tell me how I can push multisync to give me some more info about what went wrong? "Unable to open anything" is rather poor in my opinion... Thanks in advance, Floris Kruisselbrink |

Hi I have several times tried OpenSync w/Nokia 6280 and Kontact over Bluetooth - last time it was with OpenSuse 10.2 - without succes. Searching the net brings me to believe that at least up to 0.20 doesn't support the Nokia 6280. At one point I sent some trace files to Armin Bauer. Anyone knows if I can hope to be able to sync with my Nokia 6280 in the near future? -- Med venlig hilsen Kaare Rasmussen, Jasonic Jasonic Telefon: +45 3816 2582 Nordre Fasanvej 12 2000 Frederiksberg Email: ka...@ja... |

Change got reverted in SVN. Will try to reproduce your further problem with net: sync. Actually the unwanted "return;" fixed this issue for one of my devices. The problem is/was that this timeout-workaround keeps ping the device all the time. Also when the sync is finished. This is the reason why opensync never stops. Have to check how we can solve this.. best regards, Daniel |

Hi, It looks like the extra "return;" added in http://www.opensync.org/changeset/1461 to plugins/palm/src/palm_sync.c was an error, as it isn't mentioned in the change log message. It causes my Palm to timeout during the (network) hotsync while opensync is spending time thinking. When I remove that, I see the tickle packets on the network, but they never stop! The trace messages are this block, over and over, with different addresses: [1167674701.503880] ENG(RUN1,STOP1,SENT1,READ1,MAP1,CHK1,MUL1,SYNC1,COMMITTED1) [1167674701.503918] MAP(SOLV1,SYNC1,DATA1,INFO0,DEL0,CHK1,MUL1) [1167674701.503954] <<<<<<< osengine_mapping_decider: Waste [1167674701.503989] <<<<<<< engine_message_handler [1167674701.504026] >>>>>>> engine_message_handler(0xb87ab50:0-0, 0x80b0a58) [1167674701.504062] engine received command 16 [1167674701.504105] >>>>>>> osengine_mapping_decider(0x80b0a58, 0x81e6c30) [1167674701.504142] ENG(RUN1,STOP1,SENT1,READ1,MAP1,CHK1,MUL1,SYNC1,COMMITTED1) [1167674701.504179] MAP(SOLV1,SYNC1,DATA1,INFO0,DEL0,CHK1,MUL1) [1167674701.504213] <<<<<<< osengine_mapping_decider: Waste [1167674701.504249] <<<<<<< engine_message_handler [1167674701.504288] >>>>>>> engine_message_handler(0xb87ac88:0-0, 0x80b0a58) [1167674701.504324] engine received command 16 [1167674701.504367] >>>>>>> osengine_mapping_decider(0x80b0a58, 0x81e73f0) [1167674701.504404] ENG(RUN1,STOP1,SENT1,READ1,MAP1,CHK1,MUL1,SYNC1,COMMITTED1) [1167674701.504441] MAP(SOLV1,SYNC1,DATA1,INFO0,DEL0,CHK1,MUL1) [1167674701.504476] <<<<<<< osengine_mapping_decider: Waste [1167674701.504511] <<<<<<< engine_message_handler This is after: [...] Sent an entry uid-ToDoDB-3177262 of size 24 to member 1 (file-sync). (and sorry because it took a while....=20 i missed it first because i finished my subscription to the m-l only=20 afterwards and then i had to 'extract' the patch from the html of the m-l=20 archive :) I applied both patches and compiled, and now it almost works :-))) i am getting all the entries but somehow after the transfer it keeps the=20 connection open, msynctool does not return and the phone stays=20 in "synchronizing, sending: 55" until i Ctrl-C msynctool. (Note: 55 is the number of addressbook contacts i have) The std-out 'hangs' with (full output in out.log) =2D------- Sent an entry 000200000059 of size 24 to member 2 (file-sync). Changetype ADDED Sent an entry 125 of size 24 to member 2 (file-sync). Changetype ADDED S =2D------- (NOTE the extra "S" where the thing stays forever) Doing a backtrace in gdb i see: #0 0xb7fbd410 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb7bd5e16 in pthread_cond_wait@@GLIBC_2.3.2 ()=20 from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libpthread.so.0 #2 0xb7e7bdad in pthread_cond_wait () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #3 0xb7ef0f77 in osengine_sync_and_block () from /usr/lib/libosengine.so.0 #4 0x0804b4cf in ?? () #5 0x08077ce8 in ?? () #6 0xbfaf9990 in ?? () (I could install the dbg libs if the above is not enough) The logfiles are attached, only the .wbxml are missing because i was lazy=20 to clean them up (removed pieces are marked with ###DATA### elsewhere) Just tell me if they are helpful to you. UPDATE: the first message with the attachment still didn't get through, so= =20 now i uploaded the logs to: http://cvs.fzk.de/~ariel/linux/se-w810i-log.tgz > > Could be some buffer size issue? > > I guess this is only the fragmentation of the package... yes, now i see it is getting back several fragments with all the contacts. Cheers, and merry X'mas to all of you who care :) Ariel |

The reason is (among others) that Opensync doesn't support MD5 digest authentication, which the UIQ3 phones uses... There might be other issues as well. I would indeed spend $40 for this. Then we need 8 more guys and one developer interested in a M600... :) -Stian |

All, Does anyone know where oesf went? For a couple of days the site said it was moving to ibiblio (sp ??). Then it disappeared. It was the most active site for Zaurus OE development, and hence the open sync connection. Thank you in advance, - Dan |
