We are pleased to announce the second release of the developer (unstable) 1.1 series of OpenSTA. This release continues work on the large architectural changes introduced in version 1.1.0. The release is labled version 1.1.2, version 1.1.1 was never published. If you are upgrading from any previous version of OpenSTA to version 1.1.2 you will need to ensure that each of your defined profiles (now called collectors) have been opened in the GUI before they are used in a test. There should be no need to edit each configuration, simply viewing them should update them to the upgraded specification. This release is available both as a Microsoft Windows Installable from: http://opensta.org/download.html and as a full source package form: http://opensta.sourceforge.net/download.html The changes in this release include: * Scheduling and Delays for task groups * Stop and start for individual task groups * Ability to specify time period for which a task or task groups runs * Ability to add a new task to a currently active test * Ability to have tests which only include data collection * Single replay executable for running multiple task groups * Architecture changes to simplify Test management. * Architecture changes for improved data communications * Configuration tab now provides dynamic task group status information * Additional properties for controlling ramping up of virtual users * SCL source line now used within the Audit log * Now uses a tree view for selecting monitoring windows * Added Virtual User graph to monitoring. Any problems with the product toolset should, as usual, be reported at: http://sourceforge.net/bugs/?group_id=10857 Thank you, /dan -- Daniel Sutcliffe, OpenSTA Project Leader <Da...@Op...> --=-*-=-- http://opensta.org/ --=-*-=-- "Ambivalent?
