Daniel Sutcliffe wrote: We are pleased to announce the 1st update release of OpenSTA version 1.0. This release contains many bug fixes and improvements. It is available both as a Microsoft Windows Installable from: http://opensta.org/download.html and as the full source package from: http://opensta.sourceforge.net/download.html The fixes in this release include: * Improved Dialog entry for NT performance monitoring and SNMP data collection profiles. * Query descriptions for NT Performance monitor and SNMP queries with profiles are now checked for uniqueness. * Dialog to add extra SNMP categories. * Monitoring now include script iteration number. * Units added to graph axis labels. * Ability to filter on timers in timer/eapsed time graph graph. * The user configurable logging level now affects timer values as well as HTTP stsatistics. * Default memory usage for Test Executors reduced. * Default .ini file for TestExecutor shipped in installation. * Change in file variable handling to match documentation. Improvements and tidy ups have also been made to the source archive and build mechanism, although these should not affect the functionality of the toolset. There are still some known issues in running OpenSTA on an SMP machine. These have been tracked down to threading problems in Microsofts libraries. In order to avoid these issue we have been experimenting building against altenative libraries. In order to test these trials a seperate installable of this release is being made available for test purposes and those having problems on SMP machines. This can be found at: http://opensta.org/binaries/tests/ostaw32-x86-1001-smp.msi If you use this experimental installation please report your results to the OpenSTA users mailing list. Any problems with the product toolset should, as usual, be reported at: http://sourceforge.net/bugs/?group_id=10857 Thank you, /dan -- Daniel Sutcliffe, OpenSTA Project Leader <DanSut@OpenSTA.org> --=-*-=-- http://opensta.org/ --=-*-=-- "Ambivalent?
