#30 compression doesn't work with version 4.7

We have found that the compression is not working with the actual ssh version 4.7 see the output below:

ssh -vC localhost

debug1: Enabling compression at level 6.
debug1: Authentication succeeded (password).
debug1: channel 0: new [client-session]
debug1: Entering interactive session.
buffer_get_ret: trying to get more bytes 1 than in buffer 0
buffer_get_char_ret: buffer_get_ret failed
buffer_get_char: buffer error

Is there a chance to fix this problem?

I'm having the same problem with 4.7 on AIX 5.3 systems. I'll be following this as we'll need the fix once it comes out. -- watzke@us.ibm.com

I have the same problem, though discovered through scp -C, same debug/error output as original poster
