On what operating system do you run it.
What Bible did you try to get or install or run. Where did you (try to) get it from?
What exactly do you mean by "récupérer"? Did you get stuck obtaining a Bible, installing it, or getting to display a passage from it?

Bonjour,

OpenSong ne fonctionne plus avec le langage français.

Nous utilisions Opensong sur un ordinateur depuis 2020, sous Ubuntu.
L'ordinateur a été formaté. Nous avons réinstallé Ubuntu et OpenSong mais impossible d'utiliser OpenSong en français (toutes les autres langues fonctionnent). Le message d'erreur évoque "Mismatched". J'ai installé Windows pour contourner le problème mais là encore Opensong ne fonctionne dans toutes les langues sauf le français...
Auriez-vous une solution ? Il me faudrait corriger le fichier xml qui propose la traduction en français mais impossible de le modifier vue son emplacement.

Autre soucis, je ne trouve plus de Bible en français sur Opensong.
Un lien pour télécharger ? Il existait les traductions LSG, BDS et DAR.

Which version do you use? With the latest download V3.4.8 Beta try to replace the file Francais located in 'OpenSong/OpenSong Languages' in the application installation folder, with the one located here: Francais

For Bible versions check out Zefania XML here on SourceForge: https://sourceforge.net/projects/zefania-sharp/files/Bibles/FRE/
You might want to rename the bible file for use in OpenSong. For instance, when you download French Louis Segond you get SF_2009-01-20_FRE_FREN_(FRENCH LOUIS SEGOND).zip. When you unpack it, you get SF_2009-01-20_FRE_FREN_(FRENCH LOUIS SEGOND).xml. You can copy this to the folder OpenSong Scripture, but it might be desirable to also rename the file to LSG.

Hi, I have the same problem. It doesn't work in French. Thank goodness I'm not too bad at English but I'm not the only one who uses it. If my version is not good, where can I get one where I can change the language?

Hi, it is just that one file I linked to above that you need to replace.

During installation, please choose English. Then download the file linked to above and place it in the folder OpenSong Languages. The full path including the file name on a Windows system usually is C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenSong\OpenSong Languages\Francais. Then, when you relaunch OpenSong, go to Settings | General Settings and choose Francais in order to switch OpenSong to using french. (Sorry about the mis-spelling, but the ç caused problems for development and in the installer, so we removed it.)

If your installation of OpenSong does not start up completely and does not ask you to choose a language, you might have to edit or delete the file preferences.plist, on a Windows system located at %APPDATA%\OpenSong\preferences.plist. In windows Explorer you can navigate there by pasting shell:appdata\OpenSong into the address bar.

Pour faire fonctionner OpenSong en français, il faut éditer (avec Sublime Text par exemple) dans OpenSong.app/Contents/Resources/OpenSong/Languages/Francais (on Mac) la ligne qui contient le tag '...bottoms>' et remplacer par '...bottom>' sans le 's', puis sauver le fichier . Et cela fonctionne !

To make it work in french, you have to edit (with avec Sublime Text) OpenSong.app/Contents/Resources/OpenSong/Languages/Francais (on Mac) and replace tag '...bottoms>' by '...bottom>' without the 's'. Save the file and it works in french !
