I have a friend who is about to buy a new PC with windows 8 and is worried that v1.7 may not work properly. Has anyone got it working ok on windows8 please?
Best wishes,
Phil Pom

However, it always prompts me at the start with:
"Generate index for scripture file: 'KJV'"
and whatever I answer (Yes or No), it would prompt me again the next time.
I don't bother much about it though, because we use VideoPsalm which integrates well in Windows.

If you run OpenSong once with administrator privileges it will be able to
save the bible indexes and you won't see that message again. Make sure you
switch to each installed Bible version so that it generates an index for
each one.

Opensong may need administrator permissions to create the index for the bibles, when you have added a new bible (or after install) right click opensong and choose Run as Administrator, this should allow it to save the bible index it creates and should not need admin permissions until you add another bible.
