Good news. After a ton of discussion, arguments, etc. Mando and I have been given control over all of the openSIMS codebase. The first thing we did was move the license to the BSD (so we can give developers as many rights as possible). Then Mando cleaned up the current code, and committed it to SVN. So it is available and we would really appreciate you beating us up to let us know what we can do to make openSIMS useful (and easy to use).
Thanks for your time and support,

Oh, and we're working on a new installation guide (and also openSIMS in preconfigured VMs) as I write this. We're probably still going to need to put a week or two into the project in that area, but all of that is on the way.

Deer developers,
I think using opensims form iso image is not convenience. could you release the source code and give us the install guide?
thanks.
We will be posting the src very soon. Basic build instructions will be posted with the src code (which we’re trying to get done later today).
In the meantime, if you would post any questions you have here, we’ll be more than happy to help you out.
Thx,
whurley
The openSIMS v0.9 src code is now available for download under the files section.
Enjoy,
