Dear list, I'm still working on Smrender and it's getting more mature. A sailor who is currently in the Indian Ocean contacted me because he'd like to create pilot charts with Smrender in huge scales (such as e.g. the whole Southern Atlantic). I also started to experiment with this goal in mind and created this Eastern Mediterranean chart as an example: http://www.abenteuerland.at/download/smrender/samples/mediteranean.pdf I also added some new features, such as creating a magnetic bearing compass: http://www.abenteuerland.at/download/smrender/samples/murter.pdf In the (yet unstable) version 4 I'm doing some deep code reorganizations with the goal to use Smrender as an OSM database with a native Websockets interface. This could be used for direct access from Javascript-based online renderers. Latest releases are found here: http://www.abenteuerland.at/download/smrender/unstable/ Best regards, Bernhard |
