OpenSAF 4.6.0 (released 2015-04-10)

This is an enhancements release. A list of the major enhancements are:

General OpenSAF enhancements

  • Improved UML environment
  • mds: Make configurable the max number of intra node processes
  • daemonize supports setting supplementary groups
  • python: add a new immom utility package to pyosaf

AMF enhancements

  • Addition of a new shutdown, lock, unlock Admin operation on the AMF NodeGroup object to support a quicker scale down of cluster nodes.
  • Support for modification of SaAmfSIRank attribute
  • Support for modification of saAmfCSIDependencies attribute
  • Support for dumping internal state to file using admin op trigger
  • Permit admin operations when cluster startup timer is running
  • Support for saAmfNodeFailfastOnInstantiationFailure

IMM enhancements
- New IMM API that replaces SaNameT with SaStringT and SA_IMM_ATTR_DN
- Improve error diagnostics when PBE is misconfigured
- Support for dumping instances of selected classes.
- immtools have support for saImmOmCcbValidate and saImmOmCcbAbort

LOG enhancements

  • Configurable ownership of LOG directories and files

NTF enhancements

  • ntfsend; Add possibility to insert additional info

PLM enhancements

  • support dynamic changing of saPlmDependency attribute

SMF enhancements

  • an upgrade shall not affect the AU/DU state
  • simplified activation of single step reboot of affected nodes
