Cant you just make a directory "src/main/java" then check out the
contents of the svn's src directory there so you can use Maven and the
other devs can use what they want without requiring a change to the
SVN directory structure. I tested that and it seemed to work just fine
for me, I could still check out the files (and check in if I was a dev
for the 2.x project) and it worked fine for Maven
