Hi Mark,
OQT, even if it is clearly in a development stage is already used as is or
some parts only in all the major new multimedia projects under Linux (Xine,
Mplayer, Gstreamer and soon Transcode). There is already a Mozilla plugin
using Gstreamer which uses OQT.
OQT is basically a LIBRARY, that means there is no real executable to launch
but a set of applications using it. It has been designed for DEVELOPERS
firstly. Yes, we have a basic player and a basic encoder but they have been
designed only as example how to use the library. And the OQTPlayer and
OQTEncoder have documentations.
If you want a precise documentation, look at the openquicktime.h file : this
is the library API...
But, as always, if you don't think this is enough and is motivated, feel
free to help us ;)
Yann.
