[Openquicktime-users] simple example and codecs

Hi,

What is the mimimum set of commandsds to open, read and close a
quicktime movie with the library? I simply need to build a frame-reader,
to extract frame by frame from a movie and put the result into a buffer
(no display).

Is there an easy way to compile the codecs in the CVS-tree separately
and simply add them to the "/usr/local/lib" directory to be used with
the current stable release of the library ? There are no codecs
available to read the demo movies with the current stable release.

About what time will the next stable release probably be released ?
There seesm to be a change in the API, is there still a manual available
of the current stable release ?
