#78 Getting resources from external source

It could be nice to be able to get resource from external source, like a web service or a DB or LDAP.
Maybe an API definition for reading a defined data structure for adding resource could help developing addon.

... and/or ability to import resources from another project.

A more advanced but much less straightforward capability could be a sort of "resource project" that coordinates the availability of individual resources between different projects. I've worked with such a thing in an earlier life and used judiciously (sparingly, that is), it is a good feature. The danger is, however, that you chop up availabilities into too small chunks and loose overview in a matter of days. We also tried to schedule several projects concurrently and that was a total disaster.

... getting resources from another project should be relatively straightforward as copy resource -> switch project -> then paste works nicely. You "just need" to allow copy/pasting a whole sheet at a time
