Hi, I have been using openprogrammer for 7+ years and i had a great experince. I have made this PCB layout to be compact and since you can get PCBs for 2$ i thought i would give it a shot. I'm stuck with componet selection for transistors and diode
For the diode i have selected SS54 and transistors i have selected BC847 and BC857 is there a better transistor and diode combo?
    Thanks.

    Nice and very compact indeed.
Those components are fine; in fact any kind of transistor and diode will work.
Where do you get 2$ PCBs?
Do you mind sharing the design?

    Awesome , thanks.
you can get $2 PCBs from jlcpcb.com
i have attached the design here.
I'm trying to add support for OpenProgrammer in avrdude so that i will be able to flash firmware to avr directly from Arduino IDE.
    Thanks.

I'm wonderin how you interface with avrdude: are you importing the source code or just calling an external program?
If calling I would use the command-line application, "op"
Let me know if you need special parameters or anything.

the easy way to implement is to call the executable you provide with parameters but if i use libusb or hidapi and write code then avrdude will be able to support it natively. im going to write code for avrdude so that it can support natively. i need the structure of a hid packet sending a command to Open Programmer

    Thanks.

It depends from what you mean with natively.
But it's a long discussion, better to switch to email.
