Sorry to open up this old topic, but I have a question regarding the NetworkManagement element of the XDD.
For context:
I am using a certified XDD for a POWERLINK CN with 1 cyclic channel and up to 8 process data objetcs.
In this XDD there are several of the optional device features in the NetworkManagement element defined:
- PDORPDOChannelObjects="8"
- PDORPDOChannels="1"
- PDOTPDOChannelObjects="8"
Currently I am having the problem, that I am unable to define a cyclic channel in the MN configuration with the Automation Studio as long as these elements are in my XDD.
Deleting the optional device features solves the problem.
The problem did not occure during the certification of the XDD where the Automation Studio was used as well.
Could someone explain to me how these device features are supposed to be used and why the values I use result in an unusable cyclic channel?
With kind regards
Sebastian
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
how to create a XDD file for powerlink ? and what is the link to download the powerlink xdd editor and powerlink design software
Hi Vinothini,
On the EPSG homepage you'll find the specification and examples for XDD files. Look into the section "Download" -> "Technical documents".
Best regards,
Wolfgang
