I have 1 MN (openPowerlink on Linux) and 2 CNs (also openPowerlink Linux). I want to send Preq to CN_1 every 10 ms and Preq to CN_2 every 40 ms. I read that openPowerlink MN does not support Multiplexing yet and only openPowerlink CN does support multiplexing. What does it mean? And how can I implement the mentioned scenario? Excatly what should I do on the CNs to have multiplexing?
Thank you for your help in advance.

openPOWERLINK does not support multiplexing as Managing Node. Therefore, you cannot run any Controlled Node in the network in multiplexing mode, regardless if the CN can or cannot support multiplexing.
In your case, you have to operate the network with 10ms cycle time and therefore address both CNs within this cycle time.

As a follow-up to this post in 2014....Does the current version of openPOWERLINK (2.6.0) support multiplexing as Managing Node or not?
In other words, if I want the MN to send Preq to CN_1 every 10 ms and Preq to CN_2 every 40 ms, do I still have to operate with a 10ms cycle time and address both CNs within this cylce time?
Best regards,
Simon

No, the Multiplexing as Managing Node feature is not yet implemented in openPOWERLINK 2.6.0 version.
As you have mentioned you should continue to operate at 10ms cycle time for the whole network for the above addressed requirement. Also could you please share your end application requirement you are trying to solve, which would help us to support you better.
