This is unlikely, because the same Olimex adapter is working fine on the same PC with the older OpenOCD 0.10.0 from Freddie Chopin.

Unless something has changed in OpenOCD 0.11.0 in that respect, but I haven't seen any related changes.

OK, thanks for the clarification. I got confused because of the filename "openocd-v0.11.0-i686-w64-mingw32.tar.gz".

Unfortunately, I am still at a loss regarding the ST-Link V2. That is no composite device, so your suggestion wouldn't help in that case.
