However, do remember that by far the bulk of the noise
on $SUBJECT derives from Laurent being unwilling to fix
a gratuitous incompatibility in driver support for two
different Amontec products.  Remove the incompatability,
and most symptoms will just vanish.

Or related, the futile expecation that un-initialized
hardware (clocking, in this case) should behave in some
predictable but hardware-generic, way.


I for one don't feel I've received valid responses to
even a tenth of the responses I've made the time to
provide ... makin me wonder if there's any point in
further discussion (strongly suspeting there i none).
