Marcel did this change, so you may want to ask him directly if it was a mistake or intentional. 0.9.8 was definitely LGPL. There was no discussion amongst us about this, but from my limited understanding I believe that any time you put a significant amount of GPL code into a LGPL project (such as BlueTooth transport), you immediately turn it to GPL. Also, remember that BlueZ libraries are GPL, so unless you compile explicitely without BlueTooth support, you would be GPL anyway (I believe). Personally, I can see advantage both ways having OpenObex LGPL or GPL. I personally prefer to honor the intention of the original author when possible. But you are right, we should be consistent, and this need to be fixed, so we need to discuss it. Have fun... Jean |
