Consortium for Open Multiphysics

Welcome to the Consortium for Open Multiphysics Wiki!

The Consortium for Open Multiphysics is a community of scientists, engineers, analysts, and developers from industry, government, and academia, dedicated to the design and implementation of a free and open interface and toolkit for application integration to aid in multiphysics development and simulation. The consortium members work together to address some of the challenges faced by entities endeavoring to develop, maintain, and conduct multiphysics simulations, usually in an HPC environment. More details about our goals can be found in the consortium mission statement.

The software available here is an implementation of the described technical approach to parallel software coupling in the HPC environment. The licensing model is free/permissive/non-copyleft, allowing the software's use in any environment without requiring reciprocation. The capabilities and development of the software are driven by the consortium. Many consortium members are users and contributors to other related works, but participation by end users, developers, and other interested parties is welcome.

Members using government funding to participate in the consortium should indicate their funding sources. For non-funded, or internally funded members, please help us gauge organizational participation by indicating the organization with which you are affiliated.

How to Participate

To participate in this project and help guide and develop the infrastructure, simply join the consortium by emailing the project administration. Then participate in the discussions.

We want to know about multiphysics and simulation in your organization! In addition or stead of joining the consortium, please fill out the modeling and simulation survey.
