Hi, After some talking today, I updated the list of the current release goals (also reflected in releng). For the upcoming release, there are still some open ends. I propose to do only the following, to be able to release as soon as possible: - new logos, because it's not that much work anymore and Eric has time to work on it soon, he said. - check the compiler in the build system. This is almost finished, I think, so we can easily include it. - any updates necessary to stabilize diskmanipulator. It seems only the documentation should still be updated and it should be tested, of course. - fix any critical bugs, e.g. the hang/crash in Catapult when choosing something from the history (e.g. of the disk image combo) - include C-BIOS 0.21, because a lot more games are working now. This does mean a dependency on the C-BIOS team and can potentially cause even more delay, so it may need to be discussed This means that we will postpone: - F-Nano 2 fix. Postpone because the initial solution is not adequate. A real solution will take quite some work, so we should postpone it. Maarten doesn't want to include a hacked version for this release to keep the code clean. - Mac OS X and Catapult binary packaging. We can't get it to work in time, let's look at it after current release. - Detect presence of DirectX headers on Win32 systems. This is not a very big deal in practice, because there are very little Win32 users that compile openMSX themselves.
