Hi, I've finished the undo-redo stuff for multiple tracks, therefore I'm ready to do a release these days. I'll probably update the documentation to reflect the current state before though. A number of bugs have been fixed, but be aware that Open Movie Editor is not stable software yet. That being said, it works fine. ;) If you have any suggestions, feel free to submit them. Have fun -Richard |

Hi, I uploaded a new release (0.0.20060413) Release Notes: This Release mainly adds ffmpeg support, and a number of bugfixes, it also implements Idle Handler at critical places to improve the responsiveness while loading large files. Due to the addition of ffmpeg(avcodec/avformat) a lot fileformats are now supported. ChangeLog: http://sourceforge.net/project/shownotes.php?release_id=409528&group_id=142766 Have fun, -Richard |

Hi, ffmpeg support is relatively complete, therefore I'm planning to do a release these days. Feel free to check out from the repo, and report any issues. For a list of known bugs see http://oracle2025.tadalist.com/lists/public/169119 These will be fixed later. Have fun -Richard |

Hi, I pushed a patch to the repo that implements support for ffmpeg, although it's a little rough at the moment it seems to work, audio is not yet implemented, only video. Detailed error messages are still missing too, in case something goes wrong, and ffmpeg is not very nice if you seek between keyframes. :( BTW. it won't work with standard ffmpeg, but only with the ffmpeg_acl fork, which is available from libquicktime cvs. http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/libquicktime/ffmpeg_acl/ I'm not sure, whether this is still compatible with the revision that I have, but if you're adventurous, feel free to attempt to compile it. I'm planning to stay in sync with the ffmpeg_acl package from gmerlin-dependencies (gmerlin.sf.net), to make sure that you don't have a hard time getting it to work. ;) Credits go to the kfilm.sf.net project, where I looked at the code for converting the frame counter to timestamps. In other news, the developer of kfilm seems to have joined the kdenlive.sf.net project. This is quite interesting, because the kdenlive project decided to incorporate MLT, which in turn is co-developed by someone from the kino project. Seems to be the next big thing. maybe ;) Have fun -Richard |

Commenting this line shouldn't be a problem, fl::lock() only works if fltk was compiled with --enable-threads. However I removed some of the multithreading stuff therefore it's not necessary anymore. This might change however, because I'm planning to add some multithreading to improve performance/latency. A crash shouldn't happen anyway, can you provide a backtrace? run gdb openmovieeditor press r <enter> and after the programm crashes enter bt <enter> This should give you a backtrace of the crash, please send it to the list. thanks -Richard > > Any help would be appreciated. > > Thanks, > Austin > > undefined reference to `Fl::lock()' |

Hi, I'm a package manager for Mandriva linux. I'm trying to package ome, and having a small build problem. I get the attached fl error. If I comment out the offending fl::lock() line, it builds correctly, but crashes X as soon as it's run. We're using fltk-1.1.7. Any help would be appreciated. Hi, I finished a couple of loose ends this week, and I'm planning to do a release soon. Be prepared ;) gavl needs to be updated from 0.2.2 to 0.2.3, the API is not compatible at all. I recorded a little demo of the upcoming features, check it out at: http://openmovieeditor.sourceforge.net/videos/out3.html (needs flash) Have fun, -Richard |

Hi, reconf is necessary for the repo code, because I do not put generated files into the repo such as Makefile.in It seems as if there is something wrong with smpeg.m4 file which is not part of openmoveeditor, therefore you can try to remove it from the system before running reconf again. -Richard |
