Hi, I need some technical advice about mixing NFS and MFS. We operate on = large data sets that are stored on our central NS shares. We need to = access these from our work stations but also from the regression = servers. This generates really high NFS traffic so we are looking for = better solutions. One idea we had was to mirror the NFS tree, but have = the mirror contain links to the files in MFS. Workstations would see the = real tree and the regression servers would see the tree with the = symbolic links. The same scripts would work in both places, but the = mirror tree would allow us to keep the data spread out across the nodes = so we could take advantage of MFS/DFSA. Will this work? I assume = openMosix sees the path and tries DFSA after path translation? ~Rob =3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D= -=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D-=3D- Robert Wohleb, Software Engineer, R2 Technology Inc.
