I think that is normal behavior. The "&" makes the process run in a child process. When you log off, the parent process ends and so must all of its children. The way around this is to use the "at" scheduler. I typically use "mosrun" to ensure my program migrates. Mosrun also gives me flexibility to define parameters so that my program migrates in the best way.
