newest Catalyst switches (2960,2970,3550,360 and 3750), download
IOS version 12.2(37)SE and you will get LLDP info even from a Cisco
    switch. :-)

      Hi !

I have to correct my self. :-(

LLDP is only supported on following switches :

      Catalyst 3750, 3560, and 2960 switches

Hope that Cisco will support LLDP on "older" switches
      in future.

        Wow. That is good news!

I too have old Cisco gear (3524XL, 2621); I doubt they will ever get LLDP support.

Hopefully, I will be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for letting us know. This just gets better and better.

      Hey....
can anyone tell me what kind of TLVs in LLDP and LLDP-MED are supported by CISCO phones.... I mean exactly which TLVs with what contents will be sent by CISCO phone, not by CISCO switch...

      Hi...

Cisco started supporting LLDP as well as LLDP-MED on their switches and on phone also...

But, I want to know what TLVs are sent by a "CISCO PHONE" to a switch...
