I have a problems in the S-CSCF when it receives a 408 (Request-Timeout) response or 5xx response from the AS.
This is scenario.
The user Bob has two triggers mobile originating to two different AS (5090, 5091) and both have the default handling defined in the filter criteria indicating the value "SESSION_CONTINUED". Bob tries to call to a user  azx on a different network and we get an “500 Error forwarding towards S-CSCF” from the I-CSCF,  the S-CSCF gets stuck for a while on a loop between I-CSCF, S-CSCF and AS. 
The problems is: 
When the 500 response returns from the AS to S- CSCF, the S-CSCF tries forwarding the request message to the AS, but the forwarding fails and he sends an INVITE to the I-CSCF.
I suspect this has something to do with the isc module not detecting correctly if an 408 or a 5xx response is an AS failure or a message coming back from another network element. Did this ever happen to anybody? We will try to look into this issue .
