The install page http://openhelpdesk.org/docs.php#installation explain how to install and how to create the default database.

But how to create the basic admin user ? Is there one already installed ? If yes ? whit is his user name and password ?

If you're running "Barely Beta", you should be directed to the Setup page automatically. Towards the bottom, there is a form field to add a "Superuser".

* i am efectively running "Barely Beta" from sourceforge
* i have created and filed the database
* i have change the ini/settings.ini file
* i do not have installed the cron Job (yet)
* i will not use Asterix

All of this done if i go to the default page -> https://www.mydomain.org/openhelpdesk/ then
i only have the default login screen exactly like the one at https://openhelpdesk.com/ but i am not redirected to the setup page.

Witch php file is the setup page ? (I do not have seen an install.php or setup.php file).

There should be a setup.php, if not, you're running "Almost Alpha". We're going to release a huge update in a few weeks and call it 1.0. If you can't wait, download the latest tarball and just drop it over what you have now and access the setup.php page.

I have the same setup.. and I concur there is no setup.php nor install.php I guess I could use phpmyadmin to rough one out in the db..

It looks like the setup.php page is only available via svn. Grab it from there and you should be set.

Thanks but SVN is closed as said to me by Mail by Bill Kervaski : "Unfortunately, SVN access is for subscribers only, sorry. We'll post a codebase revision in a few months..."

Well so... would you just repackage the "barely beta" version ? Or tell how to create an admin user ?

Any update on this? I have just downloaded barelybeta and can confirm that setup.php is not there. Is it going to be released in version 1?
