Hi Jan, The implementation that I am hoping to create this software for is for our educational video conferencing network. Due to the way we want to configure it, our endpoints will be behind NAT'd firewalls and only addressable via the gatekeeper. Rather than expect outside colleges/parties to register with our gatekeeper etc, I would like for them to just dial one address, then be able to choose a site using DTMF. The goal for us is to be able to publish an IP address/URL on all the college websites and stationary which is the same for all the colleges in the consortium. (there are seven higher education institutions involved over 10 sites) This would enable us to build a nice centralised feel to the H.323 network. My thought is a piece of software that registers with the gatekeeper, it is able to receive incoming calls from the public internet. It gives a nice greeting and then the caller enters in an "extension number" which is equivalent to the e.164 number of an endpoint. The software would then forward the call to the appropriate endpoint. I am (this weekend hopefully), going to be testing the "forwarder" app. from the Open H.323 CVS. thinking that it may be possible to utilise this as a base along of course with theGnuGK as the gatekeeper! :-) Thoughts?
