[Openh323gk-users] Proxy mode capacity - people asked, and I have some answers

Hi All,

  A while back people asked what is the expected capacity of a GnuGK running

In proxy mode. Well, as a rule of thumb, here are my numbers for Proxy 
Enabled mode:

Hardware: Dual Pentium III 933 MHz
Memory: 1GB RAM
Distro and Kernel: Mandrake Linux 9.2 Kernel 2.4.22-26mdksmp
OpenH323 Version: openh323_1.12.2
PWlib Version: pwlib_1.5.2
GnuGk version: 2.0.8

  At 44 channels in proxy mode, the machine exhibited the following Load 
Average information: load average: 2.69, 2.67, 2.76

  The print out of top is as following:

top - 17:12:01 up 184 days,  6:33,  1 user,  load average: 3.56, 2.87, 2.82
Tasks: 253 total,   6 running, 247 sleeping,   0 stopped,   0 zombie
