This currently would be a map provider specific feature, but there may still be an issue with the map display knowing what it is that you want to look at.
The "Update" button will already recenter on the displayed pushpins. And configuring the "trackMap.showUpdateLast" property in "private.xml" will already provide a new "Last" button that will update and recenter the map on the last device pushpin.
