The problem there is legal; Apple does not endorse the OSx86 effort,
although for the most part it has been looking the other way. For example,
no one working for the U.S. government (like myself) would be able to use
it.

I haven't looked into your implementation, but the idea would be to abstract
out the graphical/windowing system aspects. This was my initial attempt with
gagui, but so far only a version based on the now dated Athena widgets is
available: I still use it, but I feel like I am driving a Ford Model T :-).
I see McGraG as an implementation of a GrADS IDE (integrated development
environment). How much of the functionality (not implementation) is Aqua
specific? How much could be implemented as an Eclipse plugin? The advantage
of an eclipse plugin is that it would run everywhere.
