OK, I just did small edits and assigned number 012:
http://cookbooks.opengrads.org/index.php?title=Recipe-012:_Converting_GPCC_ASCII_files_to_Binary_and_GRIB-1
It needs a figure or two. Could you include a shaded plot with annual means
and perhaps a timeseries of global means? Syntax is:
[[Image:r012_amean.png]]
[[Image:r012_gmean.png]]
ga-> gxyat -x 400 -y 300 r012_amean.png

Currently it is
http://gmao.gsfc.nasa.gov/software/lats4d/
Although I'm considering move it to opengrads.org and distribute it with
everything else. In any event, the gmao link will always point to whatever
final destination it turns out to be.
Thank you for the recipe.
