Sure. Why not? The netcdf-4 library with DAP replaces libnc-dap; gadap  
library needs libdap.

I don't want to modify gadap -- it's working fine. Maybe one day there  
will be a good netcdf interface for station data. I haven't yet looked  
at how the netcdf-4 dap interface handles sequences (as opposed to  
grids).
